Artist Biography

Gracinha “Inha” Arceo (b. 1994) is a playful and versatile contemporary artist born and raised in the Philippines. She has also exhibited in Madrid and Monaco.

Arceo describes her art style to have themes that celebrate powerful emotions of the human experience expressed through figures with powerful gestures and a vibrant palette.

She is an Entrepreneur, Artist, and Illustrator. It took Inha Arceo a pandemic to slow down from her jet-set corporate lifestyle of over 10 years and rediscover her talent as a visual artist and illustrator with her customary acrylic brushwork and digital prowess. Over the past 5 years, she has made over 446 original artworks. She has also grown a strong community of over 65k followers on Instagram and 13k on Tiktok. Once a corporate woman, this visual artist single-handedly establish herself as an artist and her business from the ground up in the midst of the pandemic by selling art pieces that champion self-love and authenticity.

The artist is an advocate of mental health. Her acrylic brushwork and choice of subjects indicate a deeply rooted cultural stigma that we continue to face in current society – dealing with the acceptance of oneself and one’s own mental health. With the use of vibrant hues and cleverly subtle references to pop culture, the artist is able to lay out her contemporary vision of how one is able to mentally cope and express one’s own inner emotions. She describes her art as “art for the feels,” best characterized by their free-spirited charm that draws attention to how the artist is able to mentally cope.

With clients worldwide in over 50 countries, Inha’s goal is to further make known Filipino art in the contemporary scene both locally and globally. Her advocacy is also educate and encourage more Filipino artists and creators to share their craft. Inha’s artworks not only honor her Filipino heritage as she sees it in the modern world but also her well-being which she prioritizes to be able to properly express herself authentically to help those around her to cope.

She then honed her craft to make her vision come to life as an artist by entering the exhibit scene where she first exhibited her artworks internationally in the Monaco International Art Fair last August 23-25, 2024. She also exhibited in a contemporary art exhibition featuring modern contemporary artists held at the Van Gogh Art Gallery situated in Madrid, Spain last October 5-27, 2024. There, she was exposed to different artists from all over the world as well as art collectors and diplomatic representatives from various esteemed institutions that are connected to the international aspect of this exhibition.

In her latest solo exhibition, Inha Arceo presents Break Free—an exploration of the bold act of embracing your truest self. Known for her playful aesthetic and bold, expressive gestures, Arceo transforms acrylic on canvas into a personal and universal act of self-liberation. Recurring motifs like floral fans with petals gently falling away, symbolize shedding the weight of old ideals and stories that no longer serve. Through vibrant hues and subtle nods to pop culture, Break Free becomes both a celebration and an invitation: to find joy, freedom, and the courage to live on your own terms.
